We do not restrict our customers to specific equipment, you can use your own equipment with our service without any issues.

All of our connections come with DDoS Protection as standard to maximise your business uptime and to help protect your network from external threats.

We can provide failover services to ensure your business remains online by using other providers such as BT Wholesale, TalkTalk Business, Vodafone and Virgin Media. Business continuity


ADSL/ADSL2+ is our basic service offering. The service has the potential to provide up to 24MBps on the down speed and up to 1.4MBps on the up.

Please note: Service performance and availability may be reduced depending on different factors such as the line length from the telephone exchange, line quality and equipment performance.

Fibre to the Cabinet

FTTc is our mid range service offering, providing businesses with broadband speeds of up to 80mbps down and 20mbps up.

Please note: Service performance and availability may be reduced depending on different factors such as the line length from the DSLAM Cabinet, line quality and equipment performance.

Fibre to the Premises

FTTP is our latest service offering, providing business and residential locations with broadband speeds of up to 330mbps down and 50mbps up.

Do you provide a free router with your services?

No. Hooper Technical Solutions does not currently provide free routers with our broadband services. This is to help minimise the monthly cost to our customers and to provide a better quality service.

We see far too often that the cheap free routers that other service providers send out are not sufficient for day to day business use. We have the ability to provide various brands of routers such as DrayTek, Ubiquiti, Cisco and Technicolor but these will need to be purchased separately.

What kind of filtering is in place to restrict network traffic?

None. We do not currently implement any type of filtering on our connectivity solutions. We can implement filtering solutions within our routers which can help protect you and your network.

An example of this kind of filtering would be OpenDNS which enables connections to be filtered by category at the router level. This prevents any unauthorised access to blocked websites without configuring any of the end devices.

What kind of monitoring is in place on your service?

By law, we are required to monitor broadband usage for illegal activity and malicious use. This monitoring is performed by an automated system. No information is disclosed to anyone without a court order. We take your privacy very seriously and understand that you may be transacting sensitive information.

We are currently monitoring traffic types and data usage. No identifiable information is retained. We also monitor your line for performance issues when the service is provisioned for a maximum of 30 days. This allows us to adjust the profile of your line to provide you with the best possible service.
